Not that I'm in the market, but depending on the state of that engine, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! looks like a suspiciously good deal.

That engine is probably toast. Sounds like he either got it diagnosed, or it's more than a "light knock."
Neither NP or CP. Seems decent, but you'd have to add the cost of that repair.

Well, it's a $2k LGT. Swap in another EJ25 for...maybe another 2 grand and you have a winner. So the question: is it worth $4k?
EDIT: Or less. Complete drivetrains with transmissions are going for $2k. I'll bet you could find a low mileage mill for half that.

Buy it and pull the engine and put in anther rebuilt EJ25. They're super simple to work on, or even rebuild yourself.

Equally suspect suggestion:

If I had a garage and a little disposable income, it would happen.
This would be a cool project for a dad and his kid's first car. It's probably going to be cheap to insure, it's safe, and it's fun to drive.

Definitely. It already has the 2.5. Adding in a factory turbo should be a piece of cake.
